The Lehman College Art Department is pleased to announce the 2019 Annual Thesis Exhibition for graduating M.F.A., M.A. and B.F.A. students, on view May 23 through June 2, with an opening reception on Wednesday, May 22, from 5-8 p.m.
The exhibition features work in a variety of media and surveys a range of concepts and creative approaches that characterize today’s cultural landscape, showcasing the contemporary art practice of a rising generation of artists. The exhibition represents a distillation of intensive education and serves as a reflection on each student’s personal experience in Lehman College’s art programs. Through a range of degrees and concentrations at both undergraduate and graduate levels, the Art Department offers students the unique opportunity to study in rigorous art programs in which both traditional studio and digital art practices share common goals in helping students build a strong foundation to advance their careers.
The Thesis Exhibition features works by 16 artists graduating from Lehman’s Arts Program in 2019:
