The Lehman College Art Gallery is proud to launch its fall season with COLOR: The Faculty Exhibition 2019. The exhibition features new work by Lehman College’s acclaimed Art Department studio art faculty, and this year’s presentation includes painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, photography, video installation, and digital media. As famed artist Wassily Kandinsky said, “Color is a power which directly influences the soul,” and the powerfully colorful works on view will explore the myriad ways color (or its lack) effects our perceptions of and interactions with art. A highlight of the presentation will be Gina Dominique’s site-specific installation Pink Universe, which will transform the Gallery’s lobby rotunda into a dazzling array of hot-pink abstract and geometric forms.
